Lady Gaga and Cher's Duet Due in September
Lady Gaga and Cher's long-gestating duet "The Greatest Thing" will see the light of day in September, according to a tweet from Cher (via Entertainment Weekly).

The song is expected to be the lead single off Cher's next album. No release date or title has been announced, though Cher has previously described the collection as both containing "a little bit more real instruments, like guitars and stuff like that" and then "WAY DANCE." Whether that means she has revised the album's sound over the course of its creation, or she's going for an organic disco vibe remains to be seen.

Katy Perry Tops the MTV Video Music Award Nominations


Katy Perry leads the MTV Video Awards nominations this year with nine, including Video of the Year and Best Female Video.

Perry will go head to head with Adele, who's up for seven awards, in both categories. Perry's video for "Firework" and Adele's "Rolling in the Deep," will compete against Tyler the Creator's "Yonkers," Bruno Mars' "Grenade," and Beastie Boys' "Make Some Noise" for the big award of the night.

Kanye West also nabbed seven nominations, including Best Male Video and Best Collaboration for his work with Perry on "E.T."
